Symposium TEM meets TPM

We had two fruitful days of knowledge exchange regarding TPM and TEM. The bridge of Traditional Medicine between Austria and Iran is very much alive. We will together work on the next steps of our "roadmap" and look forward to executing them. The Persian music and food provided our dialogue with the perfect setting. My thanks to all the presenters and guests. Sepasgozaram!

The bridge between TEM and TPM is living

"The dean of Tehran Medical University, Faculty of Traditional Persian Medicine (TPM) Dr. Rezaeizadeh, the vice-dean Dr. Kazemi and lecturer Dr. Alizadeh have been my guests for one week. The time was full of visits and invitations: Dr. Kottas Herb Company, pharmacy, chamber of pharmacists, clinic, embassy, seminar of humoral medicine in Windischgarsten. In intensive discussions we have exchanged ideas on the complementary importance of traditional medicine in combination with conventional medicine. The interest for mutual exchange and invitation of our TEM students is very vital. I am looking forward to this collaboration. The TEM-Academy and the Faculty of TPM have outlined a "Road Map" with the next steps: a Symposium on September 10 – 11, 2016 in Vienna. You are cordially invited! Further information will follow shortly." (Erna Janisch)

Bridging the gap between Traditional Persian & Traditional European Medicine

As part of a study trip, a team from TEM-Academy went in the footsteps of 1001 nights and laid the foundation for a fruitful exchange between Traditional Persian and Traditional European Medicine.

"We have made wonderful experience and were very welcome in the universities and hospitals of focusing on Traditional Persian Medicine. Our aim is to realize concrete exchanges. In Persia the Traditional Medicine is recognized throughout the population, is taught in universities and practiced in hospitals. The common ground between TEM & TPM is the teachings of humoral medicine. Persia has an unbroken medical tradition that relates the study of TPM to Avicenna. We are very touched by the openness, hospitality and education of the people. We look forward to working with you!" ( Erna Janisch )
